ABOUT ME
My research interests include the development of tools for scientists to use to better visualize and analyze their data, the improvement of science education, and engaging the general public in molecular biology and scientific understanding in general.
I have dual undergraduate degrees; a B.S. in chemical biology and a B.A. in art from UC Berkeley. I earned my PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from UC San Francisco in 2013. I have been pursuing a career in Scientific Visualization and Animation since 2010, and I am a full stack software engineer. As a Visualization Scientist at the Allen Institute for Cell Science I build visualization tools in collaboration with leaders in cell science research.
