ABOUT ME
My areas of research interest encompass several key facets:
  1. Enhancing Data Visualization and Analysis Tools for Scientists: I am dedicated to developing tools that empower scientists to improve the way they visualize and analyze their data.
  2. Advancing Science Education: I am passionate about making science education more effective, accessible, and engaging.
  3. Engaging the General Public in Molecular Biology and Science: I am committed to bridging the gap between molecular biology and the broader public, fostering a deeper understanding of science.
My educational background includes dual undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in chemical biology and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in art, both earned at UC Berkeley. I completed my Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology at UC San Francisco in 2013. I now work in the field of Scientific Visualization and Modeling as a full stack software engineer.
In my current role as a Visualization Scientist at the Allen Institute for Cell Science, I collaborate closely with leading figures in cell science research to construct cutting-edge visualization tools.
