LDL and HDL Models

Purpose

These 3D models were created for Boston Diagnostics to teach Doctors details about the different LDL and HDL particles. 

Process

Each model was carefully researched and has a scientifically accurate count of the different molecules that make up each particle. The unstructured proteins were hand modeled, all other molecules come from the PDB. I used physical simulation and an attractor in C4D to condense the models to be as tightly packed as possible, which gratifyingly led to structures that were the correct diameter. The colors were chosen by Boston Diagnostics.
